Currently, we have more than 11,000 hectares of planted forests with a goal to have 150,000 hectares under plantation by 2028.
Plantations like ours, with a 5-8 year growing cycle, help to meet the demand for forestry products like industrial roundwood, fuelwood, and pulpwood while at the same time providing some of the functions of natural forests, including soil stabilization, prevention of erosion, carbon emissions mitigation, and maintaining the water cycle.
Forest First Colombia is located in the Vichada municipality of Colombia, where we have rights on 36,000 hectares of land. The nearest town with paved roads and infrastructure is Puerto Carreño. The nearest community is La Venturosa, located 140km from Puerto Carreño. Our land is split between western, central and eastern management areas.
