We engage in both direct healthcare activities, as well as efforts to increase access to health care facilities and services for our labor force and the surrounding communities, in particular for women and children. We strive to promote and improve existing government services – and supplement them when necessary – in order to raise the overall standard of care.
One of our primary initiatives is to supply the local healthcare facility with any additional medications that are not provided by the national health department. We are happy to say that this involvement has encouraged upgrades and further renovation of the facility by the government.
Forest First Colombia has also arranged for the visit of medical personnel from different military forces to provide consultations across a range of medical disciplines including general practitioners, optometry and gynecology, which are not ordinarily available to the community.
